Edward Weston was born in Chicago and moved to California when he was twenty one. He was known to be one of the most innovative and influential American Photographers of his time. He took photos for over forty years of many different subjects, including landscapes, still lifes, nudes, portraits, genre scenes and even whimsical parodies. His more famous picture were often of trees and rocks located in Point Lobos, California. In 1947 he was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease and could no longer continue his work.
I think Edward Weston's work is very unique and different. His landscape photos are taken at special and angles creating a different view on the picture. He also has a lot of pictures of shells, which I've never seen before. Each shell tells a different story and is unique from the rest.
